Common causes for this symptom.
-
Water inlet valve failed.
The valve that lets water into the ice mold is no longer opening, or is restricted by mineral buildup.
-
Mold heater open.
The heater that releases ice cubes from the mold has burned out — ice cubes stick instead of dropping.
-
Ice maker control board.
The board that controls fill, freeze, and harvest cycles has failed and needs replacement.
-
Frozen fill tube.
The tube delivering water to the ice maker is iced over — usually a sign of a stuck damper or sealed-system issue further upstream.
