Common Frigidaire issues we see
- Evaporator-fan motor seizes. The most common Frigidaire fault. The freezer cools but the fresh-food side drifts warm, because no air is being circulated up from the freezer evaporator.
- Defrost-timer or defrost-heater failures. This drives the classic “fridge warm but freezer cold” symptom. Frost builds on the back of the freezer, and the fresh-food side stops cooling.
- Ice-maker mold-heater open circuit. The harvest cycle won’t release, ice freezes solid in the mold, and the unit may overflow water into the freezer cavity.
- Water-inlet valve failures. The dispenser pad clicks but no water comes out, or there is a slow drip behind the unit.
- Condenser-coil clogging. A real factor on lower-clearance Frigidaires where the bottom coils pull in dust and pet hair. The compressor overworks, the unit warms.
